A West Midlands rapist who thought of victims as 'less than human' will be behind bars until at least 2039.

Fred Florence, 51, of Katherines Walk, Ledbury was sentenced for rape at Hereford Crown Court where officers said he showed no remorse.

Florence was already serving a seven-year sentence for GBH after being convicted in June. The assault in 2016 left the victim with life-changing injuries.

He was also given three years for each of two further counts of non-recent sexual assaults on two child victims to run concurrently with the rape sentence.

Florence must serve at least two thirds of both the GBH and rape sentences so he will not be eligible for parole before 2039.
