A single act by strangers changed the future of an Alabama family Sunday night, when a young couple pulled a 7-month-old child from the back of a burning car after a deadly crash in Morgan County.

According to WAFF, the incident began when Kayleigh Page, 29, left the roadway on Alabama 157 and struck two trees. Page did not survive the crash, but the baby, LJ, in the back seat did — only because Zoie Campbell, 21, and her boyfriend, Samuel Brooks, 25, acted before emergency crews arrived.

Morgan County Sheriff Ron Puckett said deputies reached the scene to find the child already removed from the burning Tesla.
