SHELBY COUNTY, Ky. (WAVE) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is advising motorists of overnight rolling roadblocks on I-64 West in Shelby County beginning Monday, Dec. 15.

Overnight rolling roadblocks will occur on I-64 West between mile marker 33, near KY 2861/Zaring Mill Road, and mile marker 35, near KY 53/Mt. Eden Road, beginning at 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15, through 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16.

The rolling roadblocks will allow contract crews to set beams for the I-64 bridge over Clear Creek.

Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid potential delays.

Message boards are in place near the project area to alert drivers of upcoming rolling roadblocks. Drivers should not attempt to pass a rolling roadblock under any circumstances. These controlled slowdowns are neces
