A city council has called off a major Christmas event scheduled to take place this weekend because of expected bad weather. Adverse conditions including 50mph winds forecast for Saturday afternoon has led to the Bangor Christmas Festival being called off.
Bangor City Council said it "regretted to announce" that the 2025 event, which was due to take place in the city centre on Saturday, had been cancelled due to "adverse weather forecasts and associated health and safety concerns."
