DE SOTO, Kan. (KCTV) - Law enforcement shot and killed a stabbing suspect Friday morning at the Panasonic battery plant in De Soto .

Johnson County Sheriff Byron Roberson said that dispatch learned of a stabbing at the plant just before 11 a.m.

When law enforcement arrived, they found a victim with multiple stab wounds.

When law enforcement found the stabbing suspect, there was a brief interaction that resulted in an officer firing their weapon, striking the suspect.

The suspect was pronounced dead at 11:25 a.m.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office stated the victim was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.

The sheriff did not comment on what led up to the stabbing, who the suspect and victim were, and what prompted law enforcement to shoot the suspect.
