PINEVILLE, La. (KALB) - Pineville City Councilman Tom Bouchie is reflecting on his time in city council as he steps away from his role later this year.
“If you ever see me doing things for me and my decisions based on how it will affect me, ask me to leave,” he said.
Bouchie will step away from the city council at the end of 2025, a role he’s maintained since 2002.
“It’s been a wonderful experience, and I’ve said before, it’s been an honor to be able to serve the people of Pineville,” he said.
His journey into politics was not unexpected for Bouchie, with his dad running an unsuccessful mayoral campaign in O’Fallon, Missouri, to his mother volunteering at their local church, and even Bouchie becoming a leader in student government and a member of Boys State back in high school
