KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A reliever with previous history in the Kansas City Royals organization is returning on a minor league deal.

On Friday, the Royals announced that 31-year-old reliever Jose Cuas and the club agreed to terms on a minor league deal.

Cuas spent the 2024 season with the Chicago Cubs and Toronto Blue Jays but struggled with a career-worst 7.71 ERA in 13 total appearances. Cuas also spent time with the Philadelphia Phillies and Atlanta Braves but did not appear in any MLB games.
