Two Jackson residents have been charged following a crash last month in Freehold that killed a juvenile, authorities announced Friday, Dec. 12.
On Monday, Nov. 10, at 7:46 p.m., Freehold Township police responded to a single car crash at Jackson Mills Road north of Tree Top Circle after a 2004 Volvo S80 ran off the side of the roadway, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said.
An injured juvenile was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead on Thursday, Nov. 13, Santiago said.
John Delgado-Ortega, the 27-year-old driver of the vehicle, was charged with driving with a suspended license, hindering and multiple traffic summonses, Santiago said. Lady Maite Cristobal Macuyama, 28, was charged with hindering, Santiago said.
