A Bessemer woman has been arrested in the kidnapping and pistol-whipping of her ex-boyfriend after police say she was upset that she didn’t get any of his “settlement money.”
Bria Teona Mines, 32, was booked into the Jefferson County Jail shortly before 10:30 p.m. Friday.
The jail log lists two charges of conspiracy to commit murder/other crime, as well as first-degree robbery and first-degree kidnapping.
Lagarrion Amos, 40, is charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree kidnapping, conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to commit kidnapping in connection with the same incident, according to court records made public Friday.
Amos was booked into the Jefferson County Jail Thursday evening and remains held without bond.
