CAHOKIA HEIGHTS, Ill. (First Alert 4) - The Major Case Squad has been activated after a deadly shooting in the Metro East.
According to a release from the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis, at around 9:10 p.m. Friday, officers with the Cahokia Heights Police Department were called to investigate a shooting at the 3900 block of Walnut Street. Upon arrival, officers found a 67-year-old man who had been shot.
The man was taken to an area hospital, where he died.
