Parking bans in Newport County as winter weather advisory issued

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Newport County from 10 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14.

According to NWS, 2 to 4 inches of snow are expected in southern Rhode Island.

Towns in Newport County have started issuing parking bans.

Portsmouth

A parking ban will be in effect starting at 10 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13, and will remain in effect until further notice.

Tiverton

A parking ban will be in effect starting at 10 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1,3 and will remain in effect until further notice.
