GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) -
Nationwide, fallen veterans are being remembered for risking their lives for our freedom. Today is National Wreaths Across America Day – an event that remembers fallen veterans who sacrificed their lives for ours.
Hundreds of vets at the Forest Meadows East Memorial Cemetery were honored with a ceremony and given a wreath on their gravesites. This is an annual event, but officials there say they need more donations.
Officials for the event say this year, they were 800 wreaths short of giving every fallen vet a wreath. If you want to make a donation, visit www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/FL0174
