On Saturday at 11:24 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory in effect until Sunday at 8 a.m. for Columbia and Schuylkill counties.
"Total snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches," can be anticipated according to the weather service. "The heaviest snow will fall between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. One inch per hour rates are possible for a short time. The snow will be over around or even before sunrise."
"Plan on slippery road conditions," explains the weather service. "Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1."
