Oregon high school wrestling community, meet Cody Sieminski.
A Sweet Home freshman, Sieminski may have had as splashy a debut to the Oregon high school wrestling scene as anybody.
On Saturday night at the Rose City Championships at Westview High School, Sieminski pinned Newberg senior Kiah Worthington in three minutes and 47 seconds to win the 113-pound bracket.
“I was just in my head. Just my offense, my offense,” Sieminski said after the match. “There was just no way that he was going to beat me. It was just in my head. I already had the match planned out. I was going to win it. I was just in my head. I’ve got to keep going, keep going, keep going. Just keep that whole intensity the whole match.”
Sieminski knew he needed to be focused the whole match, as Worthington is the reigning C
