Authorities in Atlanta are investigating the theft of sensitive materials related to Beyoncé's performances, including unreleased music. The incident occurred on July 8, when two suitcases were stolen from a rental vehicle belonging to Christopher Grant, a choreographer for the superstar.
According to a police report, Grant parked his 2024 Jeep Wagoneer in a parking deck near Krog Street Market, a popular area east of downtown Atlanta. When he returned about an hour later, he discovered that the trunk window had been damaged and the suitcases were missing.
The stolen hard drives contained watermarked music, unreleased tracks, show footage plans, and set lists for past and future performances. In addition to the hard drives, personal items belonging to Grant and a dancer, Diandre Blue, were also taken, including laptops, headphones, and valuable accessories.
The Atlanta Police Department's Larceny from Auto Unit is leading the investigation. They have secured an arrest warrant for a suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed. As of now, the suspect remains at large.
Cameras at the parking area captured footage of the incident, and police have collected fingerprints from a vehicle that was seen leaving the scene with a pair of AirPods allegedly taken from the Jeep.
Beyoncé is scheduled to perform in Atlanta on the night of the theft, marking her fourth and final show in the city as part of her ongoing Cowboy Carter tour. This tour follows her Grammy win for Album of the Year, and she has been on the road since late April.
Representatives for Beyoncé have not yet commented on the situation. This story is still developing, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
