This weekend in Pittsburgh, the anime crowd gathers Downtown, music is plentiful on the North Side and a hometown star is back.

Vintage Grand Prix (Thursday-Sunday)

It’s race weekend in Schenley Park with the engines revving on those glorious vintage machines. Visitors can watch all the action while also checking out the car show and vendors area.

Here is the schedule:

Thursday: Countryside Tour: A tour through the Laurel Highlands of cars from 1983 or earlier, stopping at Jamison Farm for lunch 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. $85 per car.

Thursday: Grand Prix Garden Party at Phipps: This garden party kicks off Race Weekend and features hors d’oeuvres, food stations, wine, Helltown Beer and cocktails, with a car display out front. 6-10 p.m. $325.
