MONTGOMERY, Ala. ( WSFA ) - Millions of dollars in state funding are being awarded for city and county road projects across Alabama, Gov. Kay Ivey announced Thursday.

The Alabama Department of Transportation’s Annual Grant Program, created by the Rebuild Alabama Act, is awarding over $3.7 million to fund 12 road resurfacing projects.

In addition to state money, cities and counties also contributed more than $3.5 million in matching funds to further support the projects.
