SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (KTIV) - Earlier this year, a $127 million bond to build new schools and update existing buildings failed in the South Sioux City Community School District.
Now, district leadership is looking forward to the new school year and finding a path forward.
“We are very excited about this upcoming school year, to keep building on that great momentum we saw this past school year,” said Dr. Rony Ortega, who is starting his third year as superintendent of the South Sioux City Community School District, and he’s excited to get the new school year started.
