On July 23, Justia, a legal education firm, hosted a webinar titled “Navigating the Legal Landscape — Recent Developments in LGBTQ+ Rights,” led by Carl Charles, a senior attorney at Lambda Legal’s Southern Regional Office in Atlanta.

The purpose of Charles’ talk was to update the community and its legal allies about various assaults on LGBTQ+ rights by way of the multitude of presidential executive orders President Donald Trump has signed, as well as the current status of some of the lawsuits filed against those orders.

He then looked at a couple of cases coming out of the Supreme Court of special relevance to the LGBTQ+ community, finishing off with a brief overview of federal and state legislation.
