CALEDONIA, Wis. (WFRV) - A 23-year-old man was arrested for OWI after he crashed through a southeastern Wisconsin elementary school and caused significant damage to the building and multiple classrooms.

The incident began around 2:20 a.m. on Tuesday, July 29, when a person reported seeing vehicles driving towards Olympia Brown Elementary School, followed by a loud 'boom.'

Officers with the Caledonia Police Department say they responded to the area of 5 ½ Mile Road and Novak Road in Caledonia to investigate the incident.

After getting to the scene, officers learned that a vehicle had crashed through the exterior wall of Olympia Brown Elementary School. Officers say that after crashing through the wall, the vehicle continued through the classroom and caused damage to an adjacent classroom
