MARSHFIELD, Wis. (WFRV) - Authorities are searching for a man and a woman accused of using a worthless check to purchase a vehicle and later stripping it for parts.
According to a release, on June 28, 2025, a man and woman bought a vehicle for $60,000 at Wheelers of Marshfield. The check, written by the woman, was later found to have insufficient funds.
While the man eventually returned the vehicle, police say parts had been removed and sold.
Investigators believe the woman may be connected to similar incidents across Wisconsin in which vehicles were purchased with bad checks and dismantled for parts.
The female suspect has been identified as 48-year-old Jamie S. Woelbring, who is known to use multiple aliases with the last names Boring, Rightmire, Woelbring, or a combination of those
