A Warren man has been charged with stealing a pickup truck and a trailer of lawn care gear from outside Warren Mott High School and fleeing police, the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office said.

Matthew Gonzales, 45, was arraigned Wednesday in 37th District Court in Warren before Judge Steven Bieda on these charges:

• Larceny - $20,000 or more, a 10-year felony

• Motor vehicle – unlawful driving away, a five-year felony

• Police officer – third-degree fleeing, a five-year felony

• Operating – license suspended, revoked, denied/allowing suspended person to operate – second or subsequent offense, a one-year misdemeanor
