BETHESDA, Md. (DC News Now) -- What started as a normal afternoon quickly turned into a dangerous situation along Bradley Blvd. near Cabin John Creek, where heavy rainfall caused severe flash flooding that stranded drivers and submerged a vehicle.
Earlier in the day, most of Bradley Blvd. was underwater, forcing drivers to turn around as the area became impassable. Thursday night, the road appeared calm, but signs of flooding remained, including debris scattered near the creek.
Montgomery County Fire & Rescue responded swiftly after reports of a car stuck in the high water. When they arrived, they discovered not one but two vehicles caught in the flood. One of those cars was completely submerged.
