Lathan Huntley has made a business out of birds.

He even has a nickname: "Chicken Dude."

The 14-year-old from Lincoln, who showed 14 chickens and two turkeys at the 4-H poultry show on Thursday — the opening day of the Lancaster County Super Fair — has turned into a bit of an ag ambassador in the process.

"It's a really fun experience," said Huntley. "It's nice to see who has the best bird, like the highest quality bird out of all of them."

Huntley has been raising chickens and turkeys for about seven years and hatching chicks for four. He has two turkeys and about 20 to 30 chickens. For the past three years, he has been showing chickens at the county fair, but this was his first year showing a turkey. He even has his own business, Fluffy Cheek Farms, where he sells poultry.
