PATERSON, N.J. (PIX11) --- An unhappy customer allegedly stabbed a worker and the owner during a fight inside a popular Paterson bakery Thursday morning, officials said.

The customer and the victim were arguing over an order when the suspect attacked them in Baladna Bakery on Main Street in Paterson at around 8 a.m., authorities said.

One victim was slashed in the arm the other was stabbed in the chest, police said. They were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A worker at a nearby store heard the screaming and ran outside to see one of the owners holding his bleeding arm. He then saw the suspect run away.

"What happened yesterday surprised everyone because they are very nice people," the man told PIX11 News on Friday.

Police are still searching for the suspect.
