ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A Carondelet man was sentenced Friday after being found guilty in the 2023 shooting of his girlfriend.

According to the St. Louis City Circuit Attorney’s Office, 60-year-old Joseph Fuller was sentenced to 22 years in prison after a jury found him guilty in April of first-degree domestic assault with serious injury, armed criminal action and third-degree domestic assault.

Prosecutors say Fuller was in an argument with his 37-year-old girlfriend of two years on Dec. 30, 2023, when he punched her in the face and later shot her in the chest.
