BEACH PARK, Ill. — Authorities in north suburban Beach Park are asking the public for help in the search for a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash over the weekend that left a motorcyclist dead.

According to officials from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, the deadly crash unfolded just before 6 a.m. on Sunday near the intersection of Green Bay Road and Sallmon Avenue in Beach Park.

Deputies said the victim, 19-year-old Adrian Rogel-Villanueva, a Waukegan resident, suffered fatal injuries after he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene following the crash.

On Saturday, authorities in Beach Park offered an update on the investigation, as they believe they have identified the vehicle involved in the crash.
