KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — Following investigations by the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) into the faked kidnapping of Jakob Brandt, the former Sheriff’s deputy, on June 6, have resulted in an additional charge of Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants (DUII).

The KCSO indicated yesterday that Brandt, who claimed he was kidnapped then got arrested after a video told a different story , is no longer employed by the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office after an internal review and an investigation revealed that that Deputy Brandt was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the call, resulting in his arrest for DUII.
