PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. — A Woodbridge man is dead after he was hit by a driver on Largo Road (MD-202) in Prince George's County Saturday morning. The driver of the vehicle involved left the scene, and police are still searching them.

The crash was first reported around 6:20 a.m. Maryland State Police troopers responded to eastbound Largo Road and Wood Branch Court for a crash involving a pedestrian. The man hit was later identified as Leroy Wedge, 43, of Upper Marlboro. Troopers believe Wedge was attempting to cross Largo Road when he was struck. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle involved did not stop. Investigators believe the vehicle involved could be a 2012-2014 GMC Terrain, or a Chevrolet Equinox.
