ELLERBE, N.C. — A man has been arrested and charged with a deadly shooting in Ellerbe, according to the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.

Early Sunday morning, deputies responded to a home in Ellerbe after a man came home and found a person who had been shot and was lying on the ground. That victim, identified as 36-year-old Wendell Robinson Jr., was confirmed dead at the scene due to his injuries.

On Monday, deputies arrested 28-year-old Raequan Lameek Ratliff of Hamlet in connection to the case. He is accused of fatally shooting Robinson then allegedly firing shots into parked vehicles at the Ellerbe Manor Apartment complex and then firing into a occupied home on Sallie Goins Hill Road.
