CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - If you feel like it’s been cloudy for a really long time...You’d be correct!

In fact, you have to go back to the last weekend of July to see mostly sunny skies. That’s almost two weeks ago if you include Thursday’s overcast skies in Charlotte.

And that weekend was the same weekend we had the string of 100-degree plus days! Quite the trade off to go from sunshine and 100s to clouds and 60s and 70s.

Easy to see the pattern change when you add Charlotte’s past high temperatures under that cloud cover history.

Which got us thinking.

We’re used to big high temperature swings in the spring and fall months, but to have a 33-degree temperature swing from 102-degrees to a high of only 69-degrees within a 10-day period, in the summer, in Charlotte?
