KINSTON, N.C. (WITN) - Kinston police say a Lenoir County man is behind bars on eleven charges following a shooting Thursday morning.

Police and the sheriff’s office arrested 31-year-old Kendall Forbes during a traffic stop.

He was wanted for a shooting on Herbert Drive where a home had been hit by bullets. No one was injured.

Forbes is charged with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, discharging a firearm within an enclosure to incite fear, three counts of discharging a weapon into occupied property, possession of a firearm by a felon, malicious assault in secret, going armed to the terror of the public, discharging a firearm within city limits and misdemeanor domestic violence.

He’s being held without bond in the Lenoir County Detention Center.
