BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) - The Senate has approved the Fiscal Year 2026 agriculture funding bill, which provides strong support for farmers, ranchers, agriculture research, and rural communities.

The legislation includes nearly $2.5 million for the Agricultural Risk Policy Center at North Dakota State University, $5 million for the AgTech Cooperative Agreement between Grand Farm, NDSU and the Agricultural Research Service, and $3 million for renovations at the Edward T. Schafer Agricultural Research Center in Fargo. It also ensures access to credit through Farm Service Agency loans, prohibits FSA county office closures, and supports ranchers with resources to meet electronic ID tag requirements.
