CALVERT COUNTY, Md. — The Southern Branch of the Calvert Library is closed Monday because of a stabbing. Calvert County Sheriff's Office deputies are still investigating what happened, and ask anyone who may have information to contact them.

Patrol deputies were called to the Southern Branch Library, located at 13920 HG Trueman Road in Solomons, for a reported stabbing just after 10 a.m. on Monday. When deputies got there, they found a woman who had been stabbed once.

The suspect, later identified as 33-year-old Eugene Terrill Harris, was found in the area and taken into custody, according to the sheriff's office.
