BENTON COUNTY — A Warsaw man is charged with rape in Benton County.

In a probable cause statement Ronald A. Ford, 50, is accused of physically and sexually assaulting the victim in June 2022.

Prior the assault, the victim reported Ford would watch them bathe and made comments about their body. Ford allegedly became physically abusive when the victim started to distance themselves.

After the sexual assault in 2022, Ford reportedly threatened to kill the victim if they told anyone.

Ford is in custody at the Benton County Jail on a $250,000 surety bond. He will make his first court appearance at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
