MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- A crash involving two vehicles in Gaithersburg Monday morning sent two people to the hospital, including a bystander who was hit by the collision's debris, according to officials.
David Pazos, a spokesperson for the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, said responders were called to the two-vehicle crash in the area of Muddy Branch Road and Conservation Lane shortly after 12:30 p.m.
There, crews found a car overturned off the roadway, with one person hurt.
The driver of the other vehicle declined to be taken to the hospital; however, medics took one person who was hit by the crash debris to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Pazos said.
At this time, it is unclear what caused the vehicles to crash.
