SILVER SPRING, Md. (DC News Now) -- A house caught on fire in Silver Spring on Sunday, causing over $300,000 in damages.

Crews with the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) responded to a home, located at 10124 Meadowneck Ct., after a fire broke out.

There, they saw a hybrid car in the garage on fire and the fire had spread into the second floor of the home.

Two people got out of the house safely with their pet.
