The GovDeals auction of Deep Thought – the boat that washed up on Milwaukee’s shoreline in October of last year – ended today at 12:06 p.m.. The boat (also known as the Milwaukee Minnow) sold for $2,525.

There were 45 total bids for the boat and over 15,000 visitors to the page. Milwaukee County announced that it was hoping to sell the boat for $20,000 when it put it up for auction.

What happens next? Well, the auction terms state that the buyer must remove the boat, which is currently in the All City Towing yard within seven calendar days of “the time and date of issuance of the Buyer’s Certificate.”
