Los Angeles Chargers linebacker Denzel Perryman was out of jail Tuesday after prosecutors declined to immediately file any charges against him stemming from his arrest for allegedly having two illegal assault-style rifles in his vehicle.
A representative for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office told City News Service the case against Perryman was sent back to law enforcement for further investigation. According to jail records, Perryman was released from custody Monday afternoon.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officials said deputies from the South Los Angeles station stopped Perryman for vehicle code violations at about 9:30 p.m. Friday.
