LEAVENWORTH, Kan. (KCTV) - A Leavenworth County inmate will pay for the damage he caused to a jail cell in 2024.
The Leavenworth County, Kansas, Attorney’s Office says that Andrew Marlar, 29, has been found guilty of criminal damage to property.
Investigators noted that Marlar was in custody at the Leavenworth County Jail on Jan. 31, 2024, when he damaged a padded cell. He ripped chunks of padding from the door and stuffed them into the toilet hole on the cell floor.

In court, records indicated that he pleaded no contest. A judge accepted that plea and found him guilty. As part of the plea agreement, Marlar agreed to pay $2,000 in restitution.
