LITTLE SILVER, N.J. (PIX11) -- When it comes to produce and craft beer, fresher is better.

Just ask Don Vogt, owner of Jersey City-based 902 Brewing Company. Like many other breweries, 902 collaborates with farms to make fruit wheat ales and sours.

"We just did a beer with a blueberry farm in South Jersey," said Vogt, "and we do this every year, so it brings all that stuff, everything together. Freshness."

Jersey produces sports, the famous Jersey Fresh label, and now, soon, could produce Jersey beer. A new bill in Trenton would give the thumbs up for breweries, wineries, and distilleries to use the Jersey Fresh label on products that meet criteria for local ingredients.
