GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) -- On Tuesday, Tariq Mosley, 28, and Michael Garrison, 26, made their first appearance virtually in court on charges related to the death of Marsalis Davon Murphy and an investigation into the assault of a female victim on the 3200 block of East Bessemer Avenue on April 27.

Police say when they arrived, they found Murphy in a parking lot and rushed him to the hospital, where he later died.

In court on Tuesday, there was no mention of what may have led to the shooting or how the suspects and victims knew each other.

Mosley and Garrison are both facing charges of first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and discharge of a barreled weapon into an occupied vehicle.
