ZEBULON, N.C. (WNCN) — Leaders in the Town of Zebulon have cleared the way for a new residential development to be built.
According to the town, the board of commissioners approved a rezoning ordinance that would allow for a development called Zebulon South to be built on more than 100 acres of land between Arendell Avenue and Wakefield Street.
The rezoning agreement stipulates that the development will include eight affordable housing units and that there will be a 15% cap on rental properties, the town said. A multi-use path to connect Zebulon South to downtown will also be built using a $250,000 fee-in-lieu the development will receive.
