SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A fun night brings out neighbors and law enforcement all across Siouxland on Tuesday evening.

National Night Out is something that started in Philadelphia in 1984. The event takes place in communities nationwide, and plenty of people in our area participate, as well.

The events included free food, basketball hoops, dunk tanks, and a chance to visit with your neighbors. According to the Sioux City Police Department, it's a great way to promote interaction between the community, law enforcement, and first responders.
