RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Four people are recovering from injuries after a driver going the wrong way on Western Boulevard crashed head-on into another vehicle early Wednesday morning.

According to the Raleigh Police Department, the crash occurred around 5:40 a.m. near the intersection of Western Boulevard and Hunt Drive.

Officers found in their investigation that a vehicle turned off Ashe Ave into the wrong direction on Western Boulevard, going eastbound on the westbound side.

"A vehicle traveling westbound came around the corner on Western Boulevard near Hunt Drive, causing a head-on collision," officers told CBS 17.

"4 people, two from each vehicle, were hospitalized with minor injuries reported," they said.
