DES MOINES, Iowa — The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS) and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) have announced that $451,176 in cost-share funding will be allocated to water quality practices around eight public lakes in Iowa.

This funding, provided through the Publicly Owned Lakes program, aims to enhance conservation efforts by reducing nutrient loss and sediment delivery.

"Through collaborative efforts with public and private partners, farmers, and landowners, we're improving water quality and ensuring these lakes remain vibrant and healthy destinations," said Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig.
