1. A model train show and swap meet will be held from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the Joplin History and Mineral Museum, 504 S. Schifferdecker Ave. The cost is $5 for adults, free for children ages 12 and under. The event is sponsored by Tristate Model Railroaders.

2. Connect2Culture’s Joplin Area Arts and Cultural Preview will be held from 10 a.m.-noon Saturday at the Harry M. Cornell Arts & Entertainment Complex, 212 W. Seventh St. in Joplin. The event gives arts and cultural organizations the chance to tell their story and share what they have planned for the 2025-2026 season. Each organization has a total of two minutes to present. The event is free and open to the public. ×
