Hernias are far more common than most people realize.
One in four men and one in 25 women will develop a hernia in their lifetime — but many go undiagnosed until they cause pain or complications, according to a release.
To help Southeast Valley residents catch issues early, HonorHealth is offering free hernia screenings 8 a.m.-noon Saturday, Aug. 9, at its East Mesa location — HonorHealth General Surgery – East Mesa, 10238 E. Hampton Ave. Suite 301C in Mesa.
The screening takes 15 minutes and is conducted by a qualified health care professional through a quick, noninvasive physical exam. Attendees will receive immediate results and personalized recommendations, the release states.
