CASS COUNTY, Mo - Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Cass County this morning.

The accident occurred just after 7 near the intersection of Holmes Road and East 223rd Street. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol a pickup truck driven by a 48-year-old Clarksville man was southbound on Route D while a car driven by a 27-year-old Grandview woman was northbound. The pickup crossed the center line resulting in a head-on collision despite both drivers attempting to swerve.

The Grandview woman suffered serious injuries while the Clarksville man sustained minor injuries. They were both taken to Overland Park Regional Medical Center for treatment.
