ST. PAULS — When the Public Schools of Robeson County Jamboree used to be held before each football season, Glenn Patterson enjoyed going out to watch the games each year.
“I remember years ago this being held at Lumberton, and I used to go out and get excited, because you can go under one umbrella and watch all the county teams play, which you don’t get to do during the season,” said Patterson, the PSRC athletic director. “It gives the county, the communities the opportunity to see what we have going on here in Robeson County.”
After several years of the event not happening — with some of the county schools hosting their own — PSRC is bringing the event back this year, with scrimmages set for Friday evening at St. Pauls’ G.S. Kinlaw Stadium.
